HASTINGS TO LEAD PASCO CHAMBER
Colin Hastings joins the Pasco Chamber of Commerce as its new Executive Director starting in December.
Hastings, a native of Pasco and proud Bulldog alumni, is no stranger to
Chambers or small businesses. Steeped in collaborative and team building
processes, Hastings is an entrepreneur at heart, having run three businesses of
his own. He most recently served as the Vice President of the Tri-City Regional
Chamber of Commerce and brings to the position the knowledge gained as a
small businessman and the inner workings of a Chamber.
Carrie Chambers, President of the Board of Directors, said Hastings’ leadership
qualities, ability to work across different disciplines, and his deep understanding
of small business and non-profit sectors made him the ideal candidate for the
position. The Chamber, which is celebrating its 100-year anniversary, is looking
to Hastings to lead the organization into its next century.
“Colin knows our partners, he knows our local area as well as the region’s and
the state’s needs, and he is passionate about accelerating the pace toward
building and retaining the Pasco Chamber membership,” Chambers stated. “He
places value to our members above all else.”
Hastings also brings experience as a legislative advocate, expertise in effective
strategic planning, a fresh perspective with creative ideas, and sees many
opportunities for the Pasco Chamber of Commerce to be a leader in the
community.
A graduate of Seattle University with a Bachelors degree in Business
Administration with an emphasis in economics, Hastings is married and has two
sons.
